Flat White
Ever wondered how to make a flat white? Here's a quick step by step on how to make this espresso drink. Fun fact : To this day, there is a long standing debate as to who invented this drink. Most experts agree it was created in New Zealand in the 1980s.
Grind fresh coffee
A flat white is usually a double shot of espresso, which requires 18g of coffee.
It is important to use freshly roasted coffee like LG's coffee (roasted on demand and shipped directly).

Pull a double shot of espresso.
You should typically aim for a 2:1 ratio, which translates to 36g of coffee in your cup (if you started with 18g in your portafilter).
Add your milk
Froth your milk and aim for a rich and smooth foam. The microfilm shouldn't be full of bubbles, or very foamy (i.e. cappuccino milk). It should blend in your espresso.
A flat white has a thinner band of the textured milk, ideally with a shinier surface.
The ratio of espresso to milk is about 1:2 (2oz of espresso with 4oz of milk).
